“We serve because we are served “ Since 2007 we have a great opportunity to serve in different areas and witness the changes in the lives of an individual and within the community. Providing education to the poor is one of the main goals of our NGO. So under our CHEP program we were able to give admission for hundreds of students from slums who could not afford to study due to financial problems. Approximately 80 students have completed class x and class xii. Many have also completed their master through our sponsorship program and work in corporate sectors and some volunteer in PMI. We work with our volunteer and provide a 3 year scholarship program to hundreds of blind students studying in Delhi University and also provided them with Braille. We were able to give free English class to more than 500 students who now works in different Multinational companies and some even work as English teacher. We even had the opportunity to work with the students in most of all the colleges in and around Delhi. Scholarship was given to university students to support them financially. Not only this we were able to help students with their mental health by providing free counselling and medical assistance to students who are depressed and stressed due to academic and other reasons. Apart from education we also work to bring awareness program on cleanliness and health (physical and mental health). We distributed multi vitamins to more than 100 kids in the slum under our Vitamin projects. Free medical camp was conducted every year in slums of our operational areas. We also conduct programs to educate our kids along with their parents on gender equality, the need to respect every one and learning to see the uniqueness of every individual to bring development in the society. We distributed more than 500 blankets to homeless during winter every year. In response to Covid19 pandemic we were able to distribute care packages to all the families of our CHEP kids and a separate care packages to our CHEP kids in all our operational areas. Volunteer plays an important role in implementing all the programs and project’s. It is always our dream to make our NGO a home for our volunteers where they are cared and loved. Where they can serve the society with confidence. Many universities like Tata Institute of Social Service, Symbiosis University and universities in and around Delhi send their students for internship program with us approximately 100 of students have completed their internship program. Through our Focal point program we provide a platform for our volunteers and students to share their thoughts and ideas on different topics and present them. Many of our volunteers now worked both in private and public offices. Some went abroad to work. While some cleared top level national exam like UPSC and become IAS, IFS and Army Officers. We are looking forward to bring changes to many lives. To serve humanity with love and care for the needy. It is always blessed to give than to receive.
